Leave it BETTER than you found it!
Did you happen to do an extra in the process by any chance?
Nice work, and great idea for adding extra stereo system tweeters too.
Great Job ! !

Wow, this looks pretty awesome man. Could you take some photos from the side and a little further back to get an idea of the scale, etc? I'd also love to know what all the compartments are fit for. This looks like it could be a very useful mod.
I love that 3M snazzy. I just got a sample of the carbon fiber myself!
How difficult was the wiring? Do you feel like you'll be bumping your head at all when you lean towards the middle?
This make it a tough decision on whether to get a sunroof or not!
Awesome work, man, thanks for sharing!
macintosh man
Very professional looking.
Looks like a factory install.
Great job.
X-2....
When I did mine, I cut holes in the headliner (which would be covered by the overhead) big enough to get my fingers through. Then glued 2" pieces of 1/4" plywood to the top side of the headliner, above where the mounting points are.
A much easier alternative to removing the whole headliner for those contemplating this mod.
I also used the guts of the original dome light, & wired it so the map lights dimmed down with the dome light when the door is closed.

Hey Dub,
Can you make those photos a bit bigger? They are super tiny when you click em.
What console did you use?
It was also out of a Blazer, though I'm not sure what year. I bought it from Eric, (etlsport) who found it in a salvage yard...maybe he'll chime in.
I'll look for the orig thread...here it is.
Also, it wasn't exactly the right profile for our headliner, & required multiple "dry fittings", scribing the profile of the headliner to the console, then belt sanding until it followed the contours of the VX HL.

Sweeeet. Thanks for the linky link.
Its truethat is the easyest way to go
, but my headliner panel has been removed already ... at the same time i did the sound dampening on my vx
and installed the 2 tweeter's... The overhead consol is mounted with 6 screw (2mm diamter) to the car body .
