Way to go KAT, now ya done went & scared Dougie...
Thanks for taking the time to post your pics vertically, I appreciate not having to side scroll on my puny little "Flintstone" monitor...
It really isn't as bad as it looks..., If you stay on the milder trails, you will most likely come through unscathed. There are spotters, willing & at the ready, on every obstacle, no one wants to see carnage.
Even if you show up & just ride shotgun, the experience, IMO, would be worth the effort.

Dougie, I'm with Dub, the Moab experience is well worth the trip out there even if it's just for the company. My first three years out in Moab I was stock height (with some taller tires) and as long as you take your time, pick the right line, and listen to your spotters you should come out just fine. I DID hit my Trooper skid plate once or twice, and the gas tank skid plate a couple of times, but nothing serious. That's what the skid plates are there for anyway.

"I don't have the LV to go out there during the week, but I'm game for a weekend trip this summer if we can get some interest. Maybe we could talk tom4bren into coming down (nudge nudge Tom)."
I'd be there in a heartbeat. Just have to schedule around other trips & HoneyDo's. We're going to Niagara Falls in July & still have to schedule a trip to Tennessee & Alabama for family time this summer.
But ...
Y'all need a nudge to come to Fredericksburg to go SeaDoo'in this summer too.

You know, I see these photos of Marlin this year at Moab, and I really think he had more fun then the law allowed. Hope he can afford to do it again next year so I can try a challenge coin on him.![]()
Greetings, Earthling. We come in peace... Never mind "Paris to Dakar", the VehiCROSS looks ready for the Martian desert.
dougie...
my first year in moab i was COMPLETELY stock and had bald, stock tires...
you do scrape a little here and there but it is nothing major...
one thing that no one has said is that todd is a professional spotter for his wife linda and does a GREAT job with the VX guys. if you tell him that you want to take the easier route and not scrape he will try his best (and usually suceeds) to get you over easily..
just some food for thought.
ps- there are always shotgun seats open in multiple rigs, so thats an option too
