Im planning to ditch mine soon and put in a straight pipe instead, Regulations over here dont require one

yes the hole things standard apart from the powerflow box that just got put in. If i didn't have to have the Cat in (although tecnically i only have to have it in once a year) i would put a centere and back box in, one to controll the noise level and one to controll the rasp... That way you could tune it to make it nice i recon!!
Oh i joined up imigration to apply for moving to New Zealand yesterdayhate this country !!!
Speed Thrills, Boredom Kills!!
This engine is purely agricultural....this driveline has always been the only letdown in this vehicle for me. But it was designed for almost ag duty, so I figure it is appropriate. Plenty of twist, pretty dependable....it is those things......unrefined, thrashy, and out of breath above 4000rpm or so.....it's all those things too. More Jeep and less BMW, but that is how it's supposed to be I guess.
You will never get a true rumble sound. Like Chopper said, we have only a bit to work with.

therefore expect a mix of sports car with SUV. It is a matter of power and torque which can be modified to a degree with design but a 4 cyl is never going to sound like a truck and a truck is never going to sound like a sports car no matter what muffler.
I had embarassing exhaust once...
Then I found a petrol additive at Summit Racing that makes my tailpipe smell like grape jelly, or cherries, or even pini'a colada...:_drool:
Problem sol-ved...![]()
So I said to myself, I said "Handee"
and this voice came back and said..
"He's not in, may we take a message?"
Did you go to Powerflow "proper" in Milton Keynes or somewhere else? Mine's going to need some work on the 'zhaust at some point, but before then I'll need some additioal protection for the underside. Mine's standard apart from the slightly modified Trooper rear section (£12 I think - I have a spare one thanks to the unique way Millner's dispatching works...) which got re-shaped to fit by my handy local exhaust place.
Its a fair improvement over the embarrassing spud-gun that was on it before...

edit:- meant to add that exhausts definitely change their tone as they carbon up to don't panic too much...

Yep, i went to the propper PowerFLow, it was A1 Autocenre in NW9, north london.
As its a big company they are sorting the problem out but not impressed!! However greesemonkey had a powerflow on his vx and it sounds great (i am now getting the same oval 4x4 box as him)
CHANGED IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No more loud farting noises![]()
Although i kind of miss it, lol. I got an oval straight through box fitted so there is a nice bassy tone and not too much rasp.
Was thinking of romoving the Cat though![]()
Greetings, Earthling. We come in peace... Never mind "Paris to Dakar", the VehiCROSS looks ready for the Martian desert.
C-rocket, found this on another subject. http://www.vehicross.info/forums/sho...&highlight=egr. Go to the last thread by Joe Todoroff. Not sure if this is any help, cheers
