I just want it to sound GOOOOOOOOOD...

I’ve just finished reading through a number of muffler threads, with the hope of finding ‘the one’ – but the more I’ve read, the more I’m left wondering.
I’d really like to have something with a low authoritative growl, without a droning resonance (or a raspy/buzzy quality) if there’s any way to avoid it… In other words, without it sounding at all ricey. --- Basically, the closer I can get to a V8 rumble, the better.
After all of that reading, I may have it narrowed down to a choice between a MagnaFlow or a FlowMaster - but I just don't know…

Rich, your description of the MagnaFlow sounds pretty good to me, but I’m wondering…
The 14325 has a body length of 14 inches… the 14355 is exactly the same, but with an additional 4 inches of body length. --- From what I’ve read, a longer body length would translate into a quieter / less resonant sound (right?)

I would recommend it.

Tom, I really like your use of the word ‘mellow’ sandwiched in there between ‘beefy’ & ‘throaty’ --- You don’t happen to recall which series and model it was, do you?
(FlowMaster’s website wasn’t much help – not even their sound clip page)
TIA!
