I will say that my Line-X'd and UV-coated insert that came from the San Diego shop does have "stripes" that appear to be from an inconsistent spray of the UV top coat. Looks similar to what happens if you spray-paint something but accidentally get the nozzle closer to some areas than others.

    Not terrible but noticeable.

...wish you'd let me know sooner, and I'd off got it redone.
    Probably still can

I never noticed any "stripes"... but then I'm rather color blind.
It all looked good to me...

.... maybe my VX looks striped to others

And YEA... my cost was approx $1500 for ENTIRE truck..everything....
....including roof rails and rack, headlight covers and rock bumper.
This was done at a discount cause I did advertising/promo photos and print ads for him.
He would charge in the region of $2400 - $2600 normally for a VX size full spray.

Well you know... I've been crazy busy with work and life in general for awhile now... so actually I just got around to installing it for the first time LAST WEEK. Got to find a better work-personal life balance one of these days.

I'm definitely not throwing you or your guy under the bus at all; I just thought folks might want to know something to look out for when they get their truck coated. It actually isn't noticeable if you look at the insert from a 90 degree angle (looking down on the hood) but if you look at a low angle, especially with sunglasses on, you can see it. Not a big deal for the insert, but something I'd definitely want to have fixed if it was somewhere on the cladding. Then again since you see those panels at a 90 degree angle maybe it wouldn't be noticeable.

Either way it's not a big deal Jo, I might check with the local Line-X guy based on what Tom said, but it's definitely not worth shipping it all the way back to CA. No matter what it's way mo better than my faded and starting to bubble old insert.

As for the nationwide warranty, that only applies to truck beds. Nothing else. My dealer will honor the warranty locally for life, but he warned me I cannot take it to a shop in say Ohio and get it fixed for free. Although, I would guess they would probably do it anyway depending on how bad the problem was.
Mine was in that 2700 range, for everything as well, including engine cowling, dashboard, roof rack, rock sliders and other misc small pieces I brought it. Since it was colored, they just kept spraying until it was gone

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

I think LineX has nationwide lifetime warrenty. Take it to your local shop & ask them to fix it.
