Trying to put a 2001 from may trooper in a 99 Astral! Cam sensor!!??

#1) The camshaft position sensor is the same exact part in the same exact position on both engines. If the sensor is not there on the Trooper engine, there should be a plug that can be removed.

#2) Why does he even have to mess with that part? Isn't he doing a simple engine swap?

#3) If your mechanic can't find info on engines and parts and needs your help to do his job, then you need to get another mechanic.

I found this info with just a few clicks on the internets.



It's the same diagram for both engines, #327 is the cam sensor-
