    Kat....which Kat??

that's the main website for those pink boxes I attached.

    Ebzy....Purple?....I WISH!

Kat- I got this set, but to win them I ended up at $70+ IIRC.

Also got their awesome 5 position ratcheting screwdriver with rubberized handle, I use it a lot. I got the red trim....apparently not available in pink...

But, alas, I had to settle for good ole' Harbor Freight....got this roller cart/chest last month, you know how they always have some killer sales and coupons on top of that, so it was uber good deal, and surprisingly good quality.....drawers are really smooth. But I've GOT TO figure out how to disable the locking mechanism so I don't have to raise the lid for the drawers to open. I'm thinking of taping down those pegs...or cutting them off ..... but I'm still "planning" on getting that 3 drawer pink one!

I sure am (OCD has it's benefits), and I did...but the weak bars on my craftsman box were easily pried off. Hell, I could pry them off with my bare hands...and I'm a weak, frail little thing

    Sue,
the only drawback to that "roller" box is it makes it real easy for theives to roll your tools right out of your possesion...of course your collection of small arms may persuade them otherwise!

Sorry to come along and encroach on your nickname, Sue/Kat...I don't mind being called "Meow" though. Really you can call me just about anything and I'll probably respond to it.

Those pink screwdrivers are super cute, and reasonably priced...considering they're snap-on. I may have to pick up a set sometime later (saving up for new tires at the moment). That green ratcheting screwdriver is exactly the one I have, color and all...luckily it was inside my house when the thieves got the rest of my tools. It's fabulous, and I too use it constantly. Though I also used to have a stubby ratcheting screwdriver just like it...I miss that one a lot.

Not a bad looking rolling cart/box, but opening the top to open drawers would really get old...I feel your pain there. I'm thinking pink boxes would be the perfect solution to that problem

Well, we tried anyway...lol. Pretty sure there are only a handful of people who remember that my handle here was once "SunfireKat"; however, those who know me from Moab know "real life" me, and thus know me to be Kat. I feel sorry for y'all though, having to tolerate every obnoxious bit of me for that full week. Especially Mark, lol.

...but really, just call me Meow. It'll alleviate some confusion.

Actually I think most carts with a lid have this same locking mechanism.......now where's that metal cutting wheel for my Dremel?....those posts have to go! (BTW....is it going to screw anything up if I cut them off?) This chest was around $119 out the door...the comparable pink box one was almost $500 ...even I have limits...well, sometimes...

Ah, a definite advantage to living on a dirt road, in the middle of nowhere, a dirt road that doesn't go anywhere/connect to anything really, and no street going past the house.....oh, and 4 dogs, 2 of which are really YAPPY ones that bark if a twig falls outside......just ask Dub about "Teddy", aka "Corndog killer".....my killer Pomeranian...all 8 lbs...
Heck we had to put down a ton of gravel (well actually, several tons ) in the front area just so we didn't have a mud pit when it rains. We're surrounded by dirt and hills. Yup, we gave up suburbia!

Billy, how'd you know I put a Beretta sticker on my tool chest already?? (Maybe I should put a picture of Corndog the killer on it too?)

I live there, in the white color house

When I lived in my house/now my rental, some a-hole got into my garage and stole about $1400 worth of tools out of that stupid box; it's ridiculously easy to break in to. Ever since, I refuse to buy any expensive tools until I get a better toolbox. Speaking of expensive tools, how much did that screwdriver set put you back? I had a few misc snap-on screwdrivers before the theft too, but they weren't part of a set...super comfortable though, I especially loved the ratcheting ones.

...all that said, I'm digging the pink color of those boxes too.
I've likely 100k in tools sitting in 20k worth of Snap-on Boxes and rolling carts...I can break into the best of 'em with a screwdriver
Tool box locks like doorlocks, only stop honest people
**at one time I painted and assembled boxes for our Snap-On guy....many years ago. He'd sell you any color you wanted

I havent had a solid toolbox set since I worked in the paint/bodywork industry, so, thats like, 15 years now. I donated them and almost all of the tools in them to the shop that I last left (their new tech that was taking over was a good guy and right out of vocational school and REALLY needed them). I was out a couple weeks ago shopping for a set so I could actually put my tools in it and not in the organized cardboard boxes in my garage, heh. The interesting thing is, price on these things has REALLY come down. The sad part is, it's still damned pricey, heh. May have to splurge on myself this Xmas....

"MAC" toolboxes and the majority of Snap-On boxes are made by Stanley. "Matco" was the toolbox manufacturer for "MAC" originaly. MATCO still makes a damn fine box. I have a big MATCO bottom box....the large drawers hold 400lbs each. I can roll them out and stand in them (6'4'' 200lbs) with the tools in 'em...no problem. Might save a few thousand with a Kobalt or Sears box...but there's a reason. My four Snap-On floor boxes will hold a Peterbilt....It's their add photo
