Finally bought a new tool box yesterday.

Yes. I was sick and tired of no home for my tools. I was stepping on wrenches, extensions, screwdrivers and sockets . Hardly could find anything and its already near full. Wish I could have bought the Kobalt 52 inch with a stereo.

personally I prefer a clicky type torque wrench rather than the guage kind.

I'm kinda diggin the pop tarts.

...but they're the wrong color Sue, lol. Unfortunately, you may be hard pressed to find purple boxes though...not even Snap-on boxes can be ordered in purple (though they can be orange or yellow, yay! ) I like those pink boxes though; I wonder how smooth the drawers are...you'll have to let us know if santa brings you a set this year.

I too keep odd foodstuffs in my toolbox; you're not alone Ebenezer. Pop tarts seem a good choice...they keep well.

Yeah, purple is hard to come by....and funny, I did check with Snap-On...BUT, these "pink box" people make theirs in a nice bright pink. I've already got a few things from this company, like the canvas bag and a few of the pliers, oh, and don't forget the tape measure that Dub was afraid of...

And I got a way cool set of pink Snap-On screwdrivers (both large and some really fine micro ones) and they're rubberized so my hands love them!

Actually the reviews I've read are very positive regarding quality and specifically, that the draws are very smooth.

I just gotta getz me one of deez hot pink tool boxes!

Good to know. Perhaps a more cost effective alternative to Snap-on boxes...cause I sure can't afford one of those anytime soon, lol. I would like something that is more secure than my Craftsman though. When I lived in my house/now my rental, some a-hole got into my garage and stole about $1400 worth of tools out of that stupid box; it's ridiculously easy to break in to. Ever since, I refuse to buy any expensive tools until I get a better toolbox. Speaking of expensive tools, how much did that screwdriver set put you back? I had a few misc snap-on screwdrivers before the theft too, but they weren't part of a set...super comfortable though, I especially loved the ratcheting ones.

...all that said, I'm digging the pink color of those boxes too.

    I kinda figgered that.

I've got some pliers that I inherited from my grandfather that may be 75 years old. My favorite ones & you can't find any comparable nowadays. The jaws stay parallel all the way from full open to closed.

Yeah, but are you the type who would actually lock the box after every use? I keep the garage locked. If I had a tool box with a decent lock on it, I'd never remember to lock it.

Right now, my toolbox is a plastic bus tub... One of these days I'll have a real one and will be able to FIND my tools again.

Yes! I shopped for a few days. Lowes, tractor store, Advance auto, Sears but Home Depot beat them all pretty good. 399.00$. I had to put blinders on when I checked out some of the wider ones for over a grand. One had a pull out work surface, radio, with built in power strip. AND now I have to put sunglasses on when I look at these purple ones.....puppy purple. EEyuuuuu!

    Thumbs up

Husky actually makes decent stuff. I will probably end up buying a second one of these to fill with just air tools and welding tools. Tomorrow I am buying my compressor!! Getting that big ticket item behind me is the REAL beginning of my garage shop. The only other really expensive piece I will need then is a good MIG. Everything else should come pretty quickly and I will be fabbing in no time!!
