I looked at this thing before we got the Forester. Much nicer interior than the Forester, but I was disappointed in the performance for the higher price. Pay that much more for the turbo and it was still only 0-60 in around 7sec. For the sticker price (it was $28k IIRC), we could get into a fully loaded Forester XT or WRX, with much better performance (and standard AWD!).

Now, of course, I was the only one who saw this "bang for the buck" performance value, and my g/f could have given a hair on a rat's arse, heh. Settled with the non-turbo Forester with complete pretty-me-up package. *shrug*

I had my eye on them for a while but after seeing it/driving it/researching it more, I just was not sold. I think it just lacks everything I have come to NEED in a car. I will give Hyundai one thing though.... they have come a long way, and when they decide to finally start stepping on toes and leading the market in various categories, they are gonna have to put little effort into doing so. They seem to be testing the waters now....

It seems to me that they've dumped a ton of money (along with Kia) into the design budget, and as a result I think it's fair to say they make some of the nicest looking autos out there. The next step seems to be the power train. Do they have a hybrid or diesel power plant in their global consumer market portfolio?
