I'm 90% sure it is a dummy setup. The wheel turns but does nothing.

Yeah, the movie car was all a mock up as well. So technically, a "movie correct" car does not have a working blower anyhow!

I did read somewhere once that a working unit would produce something like 600HP!

That would be insane, but I think the car would have to be beefed up a little to handle that kinda torque. After all, the Falcons are uni-body (

) so...
