    Black Beauties...

    http://picasaweb.google.com/BoarderC...eat=directlink

Gave the VX its first bath today... very painless due to all the cladding!

Gave the ol Bimmer a bath and lined em up for a good introduction to each other. Never had two black cars at the same time. Kinda cool.

So far they fight over the one car garage and sadly the Bimmer with 249,000 miles lost out... sitting on the street with a car cover.

Yes, Black really is the best choice for car colors...

I don't know what I was thinking when I painted the Trooper tan...I guess I just had to change it up a bit. My poor VX is so thrashed right now.

When it's clean. I had a black G35 and it was beautiful after a solid day of washing, polishing, waxing, etc., but it looked absolutely terrible when dirty.

Haha, yeah very true, but I keep the VX in the garage most of the time so I can just touch it up, dust it off and make one washing last weeks and weeks. Now the RX-8 on the driveway needs to be washed weekly.

What kills me is the main road to my development has the planted medians. They are always watering the grass in there and basically 50% of the water ends up on the road. We can have weeks and weeks here without rain, but these damn sprinklers always FUBAR my clean black VX. The only place it stays clean is in the garage.

Nah, the standard doesn't apply as much for SUVs, especially ones with as much off-road gear as he has on his. But sports cars NEED to look good IMO.

Yeah, I know what you're sayin, it's just that "in between" dirtiness that annoys me. My VX should either look spotless, or look like I just pulled off the trail.

    Be Bold

Riding around the highways and by-ways of Manchester and Cheshire the vast, I say VASTE, majority of 4x4s are Black, there are a few silver, a few white and a few other uninspired colours like brown. I love the VX for being unusual, different and to buck the trend. I love it in bright bold colours like Proton yellow. I find black boring, commonplace and obvious. It also hides the shape of a car (that's why the Stealth planes are black) rather that saying "here I am, look at me, love me (to paraphrase 'Cars')"

Be Proud, Be Loud, Be Heard

(That should shake the forum tree. I wonder what fill fall out)
