What is the difference between Boy Scouts and Eagle Scouts? Or is it just a different organization of the same thing?

I was a "boy scout" for 1 summer. Then my usual lack of desire to engage in any "group" activities got me out of it right away. Honestly, this VX clan I take part in is really the only "group thing" I have ever done in my entire life that I enjoyed...

The funny thing is, I was going to make a rather crude and inappropriate joke about the possible difference, however restrained myself since this is a public and more-or-less "family friendly" forum.
