I removed mine from my Paj. It does wallow more on the road, but you only gain about an inch more articulation, so I wouldn't bother again.

Independent 4X used to offer some quick disconnect sway bar ends, but I can't seem to find them now...
I know Big Swede has them on the short bus, maybe he'll offer his opine.

It can be done. However, iirc, Zeus mentioned that this may have caused his tie-rod to snap in the bowl so...

Swordy used to disconnect his and said it only gained about 1/4 inch of flex...hardly worth it. Grandpa Bob said his handling suffered hugely when he disconnected his and he never did it again.

I took mine completely off for a couple weeks to try it out. It did feel a bit softer up front but I never felt like it was out of control or anything. Had it up to 75mph w/o it. But it didn't do much for flex so I ended up just putting it back on. I'd say try it out for yourself and decide. Or just pop for some disconnects. I'll probably pull mine off again come summer when I'm wheeling it more frequently. Or if I had a trail only zu it wouldn't ever have a sway bar front or rear.

I have been running WITHOUT the front sway bar for years....I leave the rear one in place.
It DOES help the front articulation ALOT....way more than 1/4"
However there is more body roll....
I took mine off my Rodeo awhile back and never put it back on, didn't seem to handle much different except like Allan said, some more body roll in turns but if your lifted and looking to offroad I don't think corner carving should be expected lol. I forget how much more it helped the Rodeo but it helped a good bit

You can gain a little more travel without the sway bar, especially if you have longer shocks and low profile droop bumpstops. But the IFS only has so much to give...
But remember, the sway bar (anti-roll bar is more properly descriptive) basically just tries to keep the two IFS sides level with each other. Good for controling body roll on the road, pretty much terrible for off-road where body roll is a given. With the sway bars disconnected (or gone) you get a lot less side to side rocking, because the suspension is free to flex independently for bumps without the sway bar resisting the impulse. So the off road ride is much more comfortable without the sway bar.
