I scared myself a couple years ago when I crossed the mud hold and it was a bit deeper than I was expecting. Just after we took this picture.

Still, I love the way the snorkel looks and I try to make all my exterior mods functional & aesthetically pleasing (to me). I mentioned it because I find it funny after everything I've done to the VX, the snorkel seems to be the eye catcher. It's true, tons of attention recently.
Researching & building projects for the VX is my favorite hobby and spend a lot of time working on them. I definitely don't mind the compliments & appreciation.
Here, I wrote this in my first snorkel thread and I'm happy with the results. :)

vxorado did you move your alternator to a higher spot?
No I didn't. I don't think there's enough room to install it in the VX without cutting into the wheel wheel. For now, the front kilby skid plate is a good shield to protect the alternator from water/mud/dirt. Maybe some day...Quote:
