Help!

My VX has had problems sence the first day the I got it. The main issue right now is that its starting to shift a little rough. Also I went to get in it to go back to work today and it didn't want to start. It would turn over and run up the rpm's a little like it should but then it would drop all the way back down to 0 and shut off. I got it to run after giving it quite a bit of gas. Also from a cold start, in the morning after its been sitting all night or sitting all day at work, I start it up and it stays at 2k or so and then when I put it in gear it drops back down. Does anyone know whats going on? Its starting to get to the point that I am truly thinking about selling it.

Sounds like the start of the Intake Manifold Gasket issue. If you haven't swapped it out yet start there.

Yes, it is possibly an air leak. Could be either the Intake Manifold Gasket issue or it could be a leak around the EGR. The first thing I would do is make sure the EGR bolts are tight.

I had a similar experience when I opened up the EGR for the cleaning and didn't tighten the bolts enough when I put it back together. And don't overtighten because if you break a bolt there, it will be a pain to extract.
