LED Lights in license plate bolts...interesting do-hickeys, eh?
Come in a few finishes, and 2 shapes.
Might be an option if your license plate light fixture has rusted out...
Could just be pic, but don't look at that bright.

Not bad. However, another easy option may be an "LED Light Bar" that is sold by JCWhitney and simply bolts to the top 2 license plate bolts with 1 wire hook-up (available in White or Blue light). Further, another option is a self illuminated license plate frame that has a built-in light at the top (available in metal or plastic at most Auto Parts Stores), and again is 1 wire hook-up.

Ryan--- I believe the focus of this thread is for alternate illumination choices for faulty VX license plate lights (without having to do DeerMagnet's complicated rebuild method). The bullet lights described by VX-KAT, JCWhitney's "LED Light Bar" (for license plate illumination), and various License Plate frames that have a built-in light at the top that shines down on the plate itself (not reverse lights).Quote:

After reading many of the reviews by customer's, the Reverse Light Frame product has many flaws. Extremely poor workmanship quality, doesn't last long (< 2 years), and obstructs most license tab stickers. It seems to be best mounted inverted (upsidedown) with the lights on the bottom of the plate, so the thick framing doesn't obscure the license tab stickers. It might be cool to have a seperate switch wired to the frame, so that you could "blind" tail-gaters that like to ride your @ss in traffic, while at the same time telling them to back-off. Just a thought.
