Rear Reflector Mod
So I finally got around to modding my rear reflectors. Turned them into tail and brake lights :) I'm overall really happy with the way it turned out. I went with 2.5" lights so they are a little bigger than the stock 2" reflectors
To anyone who wants to do this mod, it was pretty easy, just had to remove the old reflectors, drill holes for the new ones wiring to go through then tap into the existing wiring. The order is as follows
Ground - Black Wire
Tail Light - Green/Red
Brake - Solid Green
heres a video of the lights

Nice, this is on my next "to mod" list. I'm guessing it was easy enough to secure the lights, did you make brackets or is it a fiction fit?

the lights i got required a 1" hole to be drilled, then small cutouts on the side for "wings" then it just twisted to secure... problem is the cladding in that area was too thick! so i had to shave it down a bit from the back and it snugged in well.. also put a little contact cement to help keep it from twisting back out

Looks good, nice job.
Did you get the lights on line?, if so please post a link.
Also, are they dual brightness?, (hi-lo) as in, half the led's light up as running lights & all light up with brakes?
Inquiring mind like know.:smilewink

I Like that. Was thinking along the same lines except making the left a supplemental backup light and the right a rear fog light. Just one of those round 2 it's.
don't forget to add some sort of rear reflector to be legal, no since giving the man a reason to pull you over when you had one to many.
