When responding to a post, click on [Open] in the little box on the right side of where you are typing. Before you select the pic you want to include in the post, select 'original image' & 'left aligned' on the drop downs. Click on the pic you are posting. Close the My Pics window. Submit Reply.
It's easier than it sounds after you've done it once or twice.
