Intake gasket leak![]()
X2Intake gasket leak
Please try cleaning the Idle Control Solenoid first... If it's the culprit, it's an EASY fix!

I run a regular paper filter. I tried spraying around the intake to see if the idle would speed up and it didn't. Wheres the map sensor located? I'll clean the idle control now.
Thanks,
Mrcln

and clearly shows what you are looking for.
just cleaned my idle control solonoid.. need a T20 torx screwdriver to remove it.. the screws on mine were pretty stuck.. best way to do it was to stand on the passenger side of the vx and put your weight behind the screwdriver to take them out.. cleaning was easy though, make sure to get that O ring too
I sprayed the idle control with electrical cleaner yesterday when I thought it was the map sensor. lol I didn't try pushing it in or seeing if it moved when running. I'll do that tomorrow. So where is the map sensor located? Since I have one I might as well replace it.
Thanks,

mine had the same thing for the last few months
same exact code etc.
Easy way to check.
Start the car and while idling and the hood up, spray
some carb cleaner where the lower intake bolts to the
block/heads etc, by the Injector one at a time. If you hear
the idle rise, then you have a vacuum leak, lean mixture.
Problem, Lower intake manifold gasket.
Its a phenolic material from the factory, really good idea on the
surface, but when they break, you can drive a truck them them.
Heres a pic of the gaskets, first normal good used gasket
