Thanks I was super into reptiles when I wasn't able to have a dog at my place. Now that I have the dog, I don't have any reptiles anymore. They were really awesome though. My only fret was if the power went out. It happened once, and I almost lost my Boa Constrictor. Freaked me out. It's cold up in the PNW!!!
I really like your pic of the graffiti wall, btw
Great pics LDUB!!!

Dub...those are some great shots. You may have a new career in your future. You have a great eye. Maybe frame a few of those and hit up the local street fair!

Good idea for a thread Dub, I recently started shooting film again. Its weird having to wait to see how your pictures came out. Remember that?

Nice shots Bart, I love b&w...& yes, I remember vividly getting my pics back from the drug store...usually an envelope full of disappointment...
I LOVE the instant feedback/ability to correct shots of the digital realm...+ the ability to just "fire away", without regard to processing costs...
Beauty shot Jo, what lens?
I shot all my pics with slide film (got that from my grandpa), so I have boxes and boxes of slides, and no way to view them. I suppose I could send them to a service and have them digitized, but I never will. I have some really nice shots from Japan and Korea in those boxes.

Cobra, you can easily scan those in yourself. I bought a really nice Canon scanner off NewEgg a couple years ago and it came with a slide and negative scanner. Not too expensive either, under $200 iirc. That is what you need. And it works GREAT. This is pretty much what I have, only newer:

And Dub, while digital is awesome, no question, for many, many reasons, I still think Black & White looks best when shot with real film (I admit though, those trees up there I posted are digital). Also, I think somehow digital has cheapened photography, at least for me. I realized after switching to digital like 10 years ago, that I lost touch with some of my real photography skills. That is why I wanted to take a step back and shoot some real film again.
I will be bringing about 6-10 rolls of Ilford B&W with me to Japan. Can't wait!
Here's a pic of my new (old) rig. I love it. Works with some of my other Nikkor lenses also. Got a sweet deal on eBay.

Dub...what lense did you use for the "mural" photo?
The Pea Fowl mural?...
Same lens I used for the frontier fort fence pic.
A relatively inexpensive (compared to any name brand glass) piscis oculus...
Though mine is un chipp'd/MF version.

With 180 deg, ya gotta make sure yer wear'n good shoes, or at the VERY least, that your feets iz clean...
It'll even catch a dangl'n lens cap on a lanyard.
