    Yet another maybe stupid question

On the back side of the backseats in my VX, there is a cord that hangs off of the passenger side seat, that has a metal, hook (almost like a J shape) at the end of it. Can someone please tell me what it's purpose is? also, does anyone else get a lot of noise from the back seats bouncing if they are in the fully reclined back position?

On the center floor, right in front of the rear seat, just behind the console you should see a small rectangular "Patch" of carpet. When you fold the rear seats forward, you hook that strap (Cord) in the bracket under the "Patch"

There should be metal snap on the strap and its mate on the back of the seat so you can double up the strap and keep it secure.
