I saw it last night, and it just goes to show you the diversity of views in America.
Yeah, I dont agree with a lot of the views- the racist, anti-semite, and mysogynistic ones are really really bad. But it shows you that not everyone agrees about equal rights for all minority groups in America.
It was kind of scary in that respect. There were some people who handled Borat's social fumbles very well (like the lady at the dinner party who tried to show him how to use a toilet), and some who were just idiotic (like the frat boys).
The point I got out of it was that there are a lot of differing opinions in the US (I didnt agree with a lot of the ones from middle america, but that is just my opinion and they have just as much right to a viewpoint as I do).
I live in Los Angeles, am liberal, and I needed a reminder that the rest of the country is not like here- both the good and the bad.
