What are those red link/bar called that are painted under your car? I dont know the name of them and think I have seen a pic of Anita's of an upgraded one? Just curious what they are and benfits of an upgrade.

Emissions are not affected by mufflers, only sound.

If you remove the cats you'll typically not pass inspection and unless you use some kind of dummy load where the 4 O2 sensors were, you'll throw codes and possibly put the computer into some sort of limp mode.

Correct.

But I noticed my fuel consumption is down since I'm being very light on the gas so as not to deafen people. - But then again, gunning it sounds quite cool too.
