Check engine light.

My check engine light came on this evening.
Engine runs fine, no strange noises.
Anybody any ideas?
And.............how do I reset this light, or turn it off?

first thing to look for is tighten the gas cap.. and then wait a couple days (i think it takes 2-3 days to turn itself off when the problem is gone) if you want to get rid of it right away disconnect the battery for 30-60 minutes

i would recommend finding out the code just in case.. when my CE light came on i bought a scangauge to read/clear the code.. $160 is definately worth it, clear/read codes twice and it pays for itself as most dealers charge 80+ to read codes, plus you can leave the scangauge hooked up all the time and get readouts, such as voltage, water temp, speed corrected for larger tires etc

Good gauge - just the SGII can be used daily to monitor a host of parameters that we don't have gauges for. I even use it my MB.
