    New VX

My VX should be on the carrier today from Georgia to San Diego.
I noticed in the poll that Maroon was not a stock color. I posted some pictures. Can anyone tell me what color it really is. I also noticed that my newbe has no Vehi Cross side markings. Maybe side damage?
Thanks for the great site and any help.

Congrats! That's the Fox Fire Red. It is stock color. And a real nice one too! The VehiCross logo is in one photo but it looks like a glare in the other photo. I hope you VX arrives safe and sound. Welcome to the board.

    Thanks,
I bought it sight unseen except for the pictures. I have been looking for a VX for about a year. First time I had seen this color and my wife really likes it. The VX will replace her 1989 Wrangler.
Maybe I can find a wrecked VX and transplant the drivetrain into the Wrangler.

Welcome to the Southern California VX family!

    There are a few VXers in and around San Diego.. and many more up here in Los Angeles. I think a So Cal VX meet is required in the next few months.;Dr;

I agree with you about the color, it's a nice shade of red. I like a lot of the VX colors... I was very much on the fence and almost bought a silver / red example, but the yellow is something I've always wanted so I jumped on it.

You'll love it, welcome to the community. Plan to do any modifications?

Modifications? He He...I modified a Samurai by installing a V-6 Mustang engine and a C-4 Automatic. + every other upgrade you could think of. Like lockers both ends, 35 tires, aluminum diamond plate dash, homemade powder coated bumpers. I have pictures but I do not want to offend anyone on this site.
But this belongs to my better half... So maybe a trunk popper(helpful for groceries), turn signal mods(safety), muffler(mileage)
Hummmm.. Supercharger.. Help me with a good reason that the better half will understand.

How about "You can never have enough power, you will never know when you will have to use it" or "Have you ever just wanted to drive? This will make you want to!" or "Have you ever wanted to show those little punks driving their sooped up Acura's, Honda's, and WRX's up?" then add "It doesn't hurt your gas millage unless you want it to."

    Hey, it's worth a try

Hey Larry. You didn't happen to buy yours from Pugmire did you? Go over your VX real carefully once you get yours. I neglected to check mine over thoroughly. It had two ripped rear gate seals. Both the one on the door and the one around the openning were ripped. Local dealer did me a favor by replacing the one on the gate but refused to do the inner one... good thing it wasn't ripped as bad.

Headlights looked a little scuffed too on tip. The scuffs looked really weird. It's almost as if some chemical solvent ate away some of the plastic. Luckily some elbow grease and Meguiar's plastic polish (pale blue bottle with white squeeze cap) took out most of the marks.

    I bought iy from:
    Carl Black Roswell
    112 Alpharetta Hwy.
    Roswell, Georgia
I understand it is not on the transport yet.
If anyone is in the area, Please check it out for me.
I have asked for a CarFax report.
With 6,400 miles chances are that it is still new...
    if the CarFax shows good.

Did you pay for it yet? Carfax is one of those things you should do before you buy
