There was a TSB put out that changed the torque specs on the intake manifold gasket to 13 lb/ft (NOT 18 lb/ft). Presumably torquing to 18 lb/ft will eventually cause the gasket to leak again.

Tone,
Thanks for the specs!!!
One problem... I got the belt back on, but even with a new tensioner it's not strong enough to hold the crank pulley for me to tighten it to 123 lbs... any ideas???
Anyone? Anyone? Beuler? Beuler?
Thanks!

Nevermind!!! I got it!!!
I made a bar that bolted into one of the outter holes (where tool J-8614-01 is supposed to bolt to) and braced it against the power steering pump (not a bad area).... and "Click-Click" said my new torque wrench @ 123 lbs!!! Woo hoooo!! Now I can finish this DANG job!!!!
Can you tell I'm excited?!
Thanks again Tone, for your help!

Attention all VXers that have not changed their timing belt after 70+k miles...
Holy cow!!! HUGE difference! I bought mine w/50k on it and now am at 85k. This service gave it the power/pep I was hoping for! I highly recommend doing this if you are due.
Good Luck!

I'm afraid to try now because of the other thread about turning something wrong and throwing the timing off.
