    NSX?

Some people think the Volvo is the ultimate vehicle also, but I think a shoe box has more style. Volvo has improved a little though, and they made a nice sports car and sport wagon back in the sixties.
Love the Volvo (Jensen) P1800 .

Transio, That IS the Volvo I was refering to, sorry I didn't know the model, it came in a wagon version also, but more like a squared-off hatchback.
The NSX is a great car,(with a great price) and the S2000 is pretty nice also.
The DelSol, for a Civic is a good design, but are they going to make you sprain your neck, to get a better look?
I didn't mean that I wouldn't want to own or drive one.

Question Acura uses Isuzu engines, don't they?

    Hey guys,
If I'm not mistaken, but didn't Honda use an Isuzu Rodeo for their Passport? Doesn't the Acura use an Isuzu engine? The Honda & Acura bigshots must think Isuzu has something to offer. Isuzu doesn't use anything made by Honda, or do they? Just a few observations, but I wasn't going to go to the enemy and speak out of turn.

It wasn’t so much about what Isuzu had to offer as what Honda DIDN’T…
Honda wanted to gain a foothold into the (then) ever-expanding SUV market, in the worst way - however, at the time they had nothing in the pipeline – or even on the drawing board for that matter. --- So they shopped around and struck a deal with Isuzu - a marriage of convenience if you will…

Isuzu profited by a nice increase in overall production numbers, and Honda was able to start cashing-in almost instantly on the skyrocketing SUV sales phenomenon, by offering the Honda Passport (a re-badged Isuzu Rodeo), and the Acura SLX (a re-badged Isuzu Trooper).

Not anymore, but at one point they did…
Part of the deal with Honda included a little bit of reciprocity, wherein Honda supplied their Odyssey mini-vans to Isuzu (who had no mini-van in their line-up), and Isuzu re-badged them and sold them as the Isuzu Oasis… although, they never sold very many of them – rather like the (Trailblazer/Envoy-derived) Ascender’s limp sales figures now.

On that one, I honestly don’t know.

I knew what you meant. I love the P1800. Almost bought one a couple years ago, but I just don't have the time needed to keep a car like that in good condition. Some day! The wagon version is the ES. It's cool, too, but I like the fins on the S.

That Acura board actually had a "special private club" for owners of one particular color of the MDX! That is the ultimate proof that it is a conformist's car.

Considering that, this site (and the VX) is completely antepodal to the MDX site - they will never find us.

You only say that cause you're not a member of the Proton club.

I keep resisting the urge – but I think if I were going to post anything over there, it would be an invitation to come out and play at Moab`ZuZoo IX – with a link to Grandpa Bob’s Hell’s Gate video… followed by the infamous ‘Tracy Roll’ video, just to show them how truly harrowing that climb really is.

Careful there. Isuzu used the whole freaking Chevy Trailblazer. Now that's bad taste! Everyone has their weaknesses. Selling obviously isn't one of Honda's.

You either love it or hate it...

...People either love the VX or hate it. My buddy at work is like "Mr. Bling-Bling". His ideal car is a Caddy or a Lexus (ghack!) and he is only 25!! I'm sure his Lexus is a "pimp" ride but come on! He is still laughing at me for buying a VX. He said (and I quote), "you have the worst taste in cars, man!". I just laugh myself to death because I think the same of him in his LS400.

I will say this tho, the Avalanche and the Aztec are heinous looking, and in no way should the VX ever be compared to either of those monstrosities. But imho, the Scion xB takes the ugly cake...it reminds me of a little kid's first drawing of a car...

PS - Transio, your Elise is seriously sweet...I want one almost as bad as I want a Toyota RSC.
