The difference is quite noticable, especially when its cold out. The stock airbox chokes out performance one the non-SC cars, ans worse on the SC because of the even greater air demand.
Put the biggest cone filter you can find on, and make some sort of heat shield.

Does anyone know why there is a "huge" price difference in cold air intake prices? I can understand the quality of the filter is important, but other than that, I dont see how something can range in price from $30ish to $200+. Seems like someone mentioned a 4" setup in a different post, or were they all 3" for vx's?

God I love this site!!!!!! I want a supercharger!!!!!! I need to know what has to be done to my stock vx engine to make it work also any problems or concerns with running it. What is the cost? can I install it or should i have it done somewhere...... or is there a better location to get this info? Thanks guys for all your previous research. and to think i was considering selling the vx!!!!
Climbcovey--- If I remember correctly, seems like someone parting a vx out atm has a s/c for sale...maybe the Hawaii guy...sorry I cant remember but a lil research should pull something up
