    Optima Battery Holder

Well, I was inspired after being on a thread in here for a battery hold down assembly. If you have done the optima upgrade, then your factory hold down is too short, so if you have to buy a new one, might as well get a cool one. There were some cool ones available. I then searched Ebay and found one that will custom cut the top plate for free. $50 including S&H!!! This thing is 1/8" steel, very heavy duty. It came out awesome, except that I should have had him cut the VX oriented the other way, I didn't think about that. But its still looks cool, and the yellow paint I got is very close to the Proton yellow.
    Here are some pics:

I think it woulda looked funny, XV. Just my two cents.
So I said to myself, I said "Handee"

"He's not in, may we take a message?"

Uzaree, I let him know about potential business heading his way, and that the VX needed to be oriented the other way. He will do pretty much any symbol you want for no charge, as long as its fairly simple. But the red optima showing through VX looks sweet as far as I am concerned. Especially since I plan on removing all the brackets, rust away them, and then paint them red this summer.

    FWIW,

I found that John Deere yellow from Rustoleum (I think they actually call it Agricultural Yellow) is a pretty good match for Proton. If you look in my gallery, that's what's on my crossmember & diff brackets.

Handito - rekin that not everyone is quite used to your dry sense of humor. Need to spend more time online.

I knew besides "Taxi Cab Yellow" there was another yellow they (Protons) reminded me of. Can't wait till somebody puts green stripes on theirs.

T4B- I'm trying to be on-line as much as I can....seems they've actually made me work more lately.

LOL, since mom and dad are off tearing up the fragile environment in Utah, I will police my own thread.
