Hyundai concept, what do you think?

The specs say that this is a RWD 2+2 coupe -that's no SUV by any stretch. If it is a F/R vehicle, it looks like it's on stilts.

Hyundai had a moderately successful rally program, complete with turbo'd AWD cars. They build big ships and cranes, so they have the know-how. They just have to beat the public's perception of what a Hyundai is -a low cost econobox.

Their styling department has been working overtime for a few years though. Let's see if the powertrain people can deliver (for a reasonable amount of money).
I thought that the current Tiburon was a good looking car, until I looked under the hood. It was circa 1990 under there. Very dissapointing.

Not to be contrary, but what the heck do ships and cranes have to do with quality passenger vehicles? Granted, Hyundai is at the top of the JD Powers list, but I don't think that has anything to do with their ship and crane manufacturing.

They have to keep working, in my opinion. They're still followers of dying trends, and have yet to define a recognizable style for themselves, besides "blah." The Tiburon is a step in the right direction.

Tankers and container ships as well as gantry cranes require a lot more engineering and manufacturing (cap)ability than a car does. The cars seem to be a "side business" more than anything else.

Not the first time we've seen this design, but it's plenty compelling. These guys get better every year. Make this, rear drive, 8 cyl or better, snortin' 6... with a proper 6 speed (sourced from Honda of cource) and I'm in. Better still...loose the back doors.

I don't have a picture but saw the "jeepster" concept at 2004 auto show. I fell in love. Also a point of interest is the suzuki "dune" which was in the 2005 show. it can be seen on the susuki web site. very sharp resembles a proton vx on crack!

Tib always looks like it belongs in a future set, Sylvester Stallone movie. I wanna like these guys...look at their learning curve. Check back in ten... no...five years.
