I had a late S-model Miura with factory AC, so one of the dual distributors was omitted for a single 12-cylinder unit. That actually gave it a bit more "reliability" but it was still a royal pain of a car. I went from that to an '84 Porsche 928 and it was like going from hell to heaven, especially in the handling and comfort department. Not to mention you can at least find 928 parts!

I think a turbine-electric setup with drive motors at each corner would be the ultimate VX retrofit. Call me crazy.

The Miura uses a transverse mounted engine. Look closely at the engine photo I posted and you can see the differential and where the half-shafts mount. Plus, it's a really BIG pig of an engine.
