I'm not sure how it is classified, but when I switched from a '97 Honda Prelude SH to my '99 VX, my insurance went down a couple hundred bucks a year.

I'm not sure either but when I switched from a '04 Tiburon to my '01 Vx my payments also went down. Both were 2 door, V6 engines, and had the same safty options. The VX was a couple years older and has 4wheel drive, all these types of things make a difference. It appears that the VX is a very safe vehicle, I've seen some nasty wreck pictures that the occupents just walked away from. Call around and get some quotes.
I have State Farm Insurance and they put it under a station wagon. It saves on your registration and insurance.
I have State Farm, too, and they classified it as a 4x4 SUV for me, which makes it very expensive - almost as much as my Lotus.
Steve
Progressive calls mine a Station Wagon as well. Cheaper than my Starion.
My 01 Mercedes ML55 AMG SUV (titled as a truck - the VX was not) is CHEAPER than my '99 VX. Might be because of the 4 doors but the HP and the AMG badge I would think would override that. And have I complained about the cost of parts? At least double compared to most other vehicles I have owned. But I still love it though!
csaa has it classify under a station wagon...
