A few reasons why you won't see a vx on any magazine covers:
The vx is no longer a current production vehicle. ( why promote something that is scarce and won't generate revenue for the manufacturer, who would in turn provide revenue to the mag via advertising?)
The vx is not an American made vehicle. ( I'm sure the mags will deny bias, but you can read it in every issue)
Isuzu is not a paying advertiser in many magazines.
Theses media whores lost their integrity long ago, and now skew many of their reports/ tests/ evaluations in favor of the almighty dollar or advertisers who boost their revenue...bottom line.
Just look at the motor trend review that did have the vx on the cover (is m/t a petersen publication?).
Finally, they have no incentive to promote an out of production vehicle that can still beat the pants off new vehicles costing $10k more in numerous categories. Their advertisers wouldn't like that too much.
