I just can't believe that article is the whole story. Yeah, I know that Cheney just did not "get it" about divesting in Haliburton when he took office, but the public pressure was enough that he finally seperated himself from the company by at least one layer of indirection.

So I figured that direct ownership of any company was no longer an issue for these guys. But, if the article really is true, it sounds like Cheney & Haliburton were just a stalking horse. How many other companies do they own shares of that benefit from government decisions?
