New stereo advice, Dual??

Uuughh, 2x10's in a box with an 470W Amp that cost <$100? That's got to sound horrible when it's cranked up! But if you're happy with it, that's all the matters, right?

Funny, I purchased a PYLE 12' amplified sub tube (supposedly 600w) for $69.00 on ebay. It sounds awesome!!!! I have a pioneer head unit (DEH-P7700MP) which plays mp3's. I cut the lows going to my stock speakers and usually run the sub crossover up to 125Hz. Only problem is that it takes up a little more than half of my trunk.

Should probably go with the "Porsce of Head Units", Alpine. I believe they (and maybe Pioneer) still have a headunit that matches our lighting color scheme, green/amber. I replaced my stock system with an older Alpine head unit and have a matching Graphic EQ in the changer slot. Matches the dash. Looks cool. Sounds great. Since volume/levels are run throught the EQ, I have been able to run my ipod directly through the EQ to the amps.

Just an idea.
