If you like your music to sound like music I would stay away from Dual. They sound like crap in my opinion.

Since my CD changer went out yesterday I am also looking. Don't know about Dual quality but did find this at buy.com

Brand new there they are only $259
I agree you should stay away from Dual, and if you search Ebay for JVC KD-AVX1, this is an excellent DVD player which fits into a single bin and I have not read many bad reviews on this and I am actually planning on ordering one myself in the next week or so. It will run you around $400 dollars and then shipping, but you can burn MP3's onto DVD's and store 10x as many songs as on a burned CD. Here is one listing for this item that I like:

Hope this hleps in this case I would say that it is worth the extra money, basically I would not waste any $ on a Dual.
right now im using 2 10" dual subwoofers and a 470w dual amp....the whole set up with box costed me $100 from best buy. theyre ok, do wat theyre suppose to, not horribly bad nor good.....
Uuughh, 2x10's in a box with an 470W Amp that cost <$100? That's got to sound horrible when it's cranked up! But if you're happy with it, that's all the matters, right?![]()
Calmini Cone Air Filter, PowerVault PV2 Muffler, OME Trooper Springs, Rancho RS9000X Shocks, 285/75R16 Nitto Grappler AT's, Pioneer DEH P8000R In-Dash CD, Amps and Drivers Built by Orion, Wires and Fuse Blocks by KnuKonceptz, Vibration Damping by BQuiet, Alarm System featuring Auto Start and Remote Windows, Yakima LoadWarrior w/Full Size Spare, Debadged/Custom Titanium Grill Logo, Tint (5% Rear / 20% Front), Steel Braided Brake Lines, G2 Painted Calipers
its not tat horrible...i probably get 2/3 volume before the FRONT crack....fronts=stock
Funny, I purchased a PYLE 12' amplified sub tube (supposedly 600w) for $69.00 on ebay. It sounds awesome!!!! I have a pioneer head unit (DEH-P7700MP) which plays mp3's. I cut the lows going to my stock speakers and usually run the sub crossover up to 125Hz. Only problem is that it takes up a little more than half of my trunk.Originally Posted by kpaske
Should probably go with the "Porsce of Head Units", Alpine. I believe they (and maybe Pioneer) still have a headunit that matches our lighting color scheme, green/amber. I replaced my stock system with an older Alpine head unit and have a matching Graphic EQ in the changer slot. Matches the dash. Looks cool. Sounds great. Since volume/levels are run throught the EQ, I have been able to run my ipod directly through the EQ to the amps.
Just an idea.
