Nice clean styling, though. A Suzuki first?
It does not have to be close to the Vx. I need something to take me to work and back that is economical. I will probably get a 4cyl. amigo or a honda civic.Originally Posted by pbkid

I would NEVER get rid of my Vx. I just cant stand putting 70-80 miles a day on her. (not ot mention the gas prices)
Ah, I think we misunderstood you, Joe. From your initial post it sounded like you were suggesting that the new Grand Vitara is a stylistic sibling to the VX.
As for getting one as a daily commuter, why not go for a hybrid or something? No real need for a second SUV, right?

Looks more like a baby Equinox than a baby VX - I think those tail lights were grafted right off an Equinox! Not a bad looking vehicle, though.

I wanna know how they got that thing out of the sand in those pictures?![]()

Forget a hybrid - the higher cost of the car will take over 10 years to recoup from the increased gas mileage. By that time, you will have also had to replace the battery pack to the tune of several thousand dollars. They're just not worth it yet.
Maybe a SmartCar ForTwo then? I'm thinking about getting one of them when they come to the US. Either that or a bike - for commuting.
