I have this product hooked up to my stock stereo (2000 Trooper). You MUST keep your stock CD changer to use it, though:

I have probably used the CD changer two times since I've owned the vehicle. I don't really own any CD's, and when I have tried to listen to it, it works so funky that I got stressed out over it anyway. Mine at least takes almost a minute to load and finally start playing a CD. Now I'll just load all my MP3's up and play them instead of burning them to disk. nice!

Can you control the DMP1 from the head unit with that adapter? I was just curious...Also, which adapter do you need to install an aftermarket head unit in a vehicross or do you not need one???
