I'll help keep a lookout in Vegas... in case he comes this way. I'm on the roads a lot.

A friend dropped him off (he was driving a silver Jaguar). He made big talk saying that he made well over $100K per year and that he needed something to tow a boat with. He also said he was a homeowner. Obviously everything was a lie, I'm just glad I got his driver license info at least.
Brent
That blows big ones! In case it makes it way west to Tucson I'll keep an eye out. Should have gotten the Jags plate# (although it too was probably stolen) and the drivers info/lisence. Hope you got a good description of the guy (just in case you run into him some place![]()

So sorry to hear about this. I'm with Cyrk. I'd kill....
however, what a dumbass this guy is... stealing such a rare vehicle to begin with, but one that's got a completely custom look?!!! I mean, I could be totally in the dark, but - is there really a market for 'hot' vehicross parts??....
I'm in Colorado - I'll also keep an eye out for your ride.

Yea, you might want to call All Hyundae Isuzu recycling and let them know about it.

I agree with Tad. They may try to part it out and sell it off to a place like that. They seem pretty straight up from my dealings with them and would probably help out if parts start showing up there.
Arent there ID numbers etched in many original parts of the VX? I remember my mechanic saying so. Brent also has custom upholstery inside - his gallery has pics of it.

Yep, all major parts on all newer cars have the VIN# on them someplace but, they are easily removed or changed. Albeit, the VX is not a good candidate for parting outbut you'd be amazed to what folks will try and do. The most valuable parts are the sheet metal, which is usually stripped and primed and major electronics as well as the engine. The rest is scrapped. I hope that is not the case here but, also as Roy said it could be on it's way south.

Man that sucks! You can bet it is in a crate on its way to another country by now.
I don't like to be hate'n on no one...but I am always more than willing to make an exception for a useless waste of skin & breathing air who is too lazy to go out & work for what they want & instead steal from those who have.
I really feel for you Brent, I know how I would feel if this happened to me.![]()
I hope this comes to a happy end.![]()
Best wishes,Ldub
Tiggergreen, sorry for the loss. I met you in Hillsboro a couple years back. I'll keep an eye out if it makes it up this way I will definately inform you and the police.
When you say the title was in the car you mean the registration and not the title right? I hope. The title and the vehicle should never be in the same place at the same time.
It may also be worth hiring a private investigator.

No - I mean the title and the registration was in the glove box. I know - I am so stupid. *bangs head repeatedly on desk*
I have checked with the DMV and nothing has happened with that VIN number yet. The police are giving me the run around - they think it is suspicious that I have his license number... They don't want to do anything with it.

We've got all our fingers 'n' toes crossed for ya Brent! Of all the things to steal, they might as well have grabbed a burning fuel tanker to be less conspicuous. If the local PD won't step up to the plate go up the chain of command, you'll get to someone who realizes where their paycheck comes from. Just be honest about the incident and stress the uniqueness of the vehicle and maybe, just maybe, they'll grab for an easy feather in the collective law enforcement cap. If not, go to your local television news channel. They love stories about how ineffective and unconcerned local law enforcement is. This story would be like throwing a pound of raw beef to starved dogs.Originally Posted by tiggergreen
