Fuel light?

Ok, here's a really dumb question...Is the fuel light supposed to come on when the ignition is turned on? I ask, because mine is off.

Just happened to look at mine after reading your post...It doesn't come on with the ignition, as a matter of fact, I've never seen mine as I usually fill when It's around 1/4 tank or thereabouts.
