Tennis shoe???

Met a girl at the carwash the other day who owned one of those VW Things, the old army jeep version. Noted how cool of a car it was and then she saw mine roll through, said it looked really cool, saw it before and at times it reminded her of a "Tennis shoe."

I had to laugh and conceded that now that she mentioend it, she's not that far off. After all, the white body and gray cladding. Hm.

Not a "tennis" shoe but the designers were inspired by the "CROSS-trainer" shoe (multi-purpose and multi-surface) so instead of calling it a Cross-vehicle the named it....Vehi-CROSS.(rugged & atheletic)

My friends nicknamed my truck "The Shoe" so I finally gave in:

I went out to lunch with my wife and her cooworkers one day. One of the guys had one of those box Scion things. They all said they wanted to see me put my tennis shoe car into his tennis shoe box car. I've heard the shoe thing like 100 times since. I have to admit it.
