Mine (P Zero Scorpion's 285/55/18) are a little stiffer than stock - which I like. I'm running 40 psi, so they might not be as harsh with lower air pressure. The sidewall says they are rated for 55psi. As far as weight, I haven't really noticed any difference in get-up-and-go, but they are much more sticky in the corners!Originally Posted by james1_10018

Yes, I do want these tires. But I have never seen a definitive answer on how they are in snow? That would be the decision maker for me. Has anybody run these tires on 6" or so of new snow to see how they perform? They don't have to be great, but as long as they are better than the stock tires on snow I should be ok, as I am using the stock tires now, driving out on the lake to go ice fishing.
The TerraGrapplers did better for me than stock on the snow we just had here in MD. No problems with them at all, even with the wider tire, the extra meat dug in well. I have been VERY happy with the tires on the street, rain, ice, dirt, mud, and snow.
I agree - they are much better than stock over fresh snow, and even icy conditions. I have been nothing but happy with mine.

OK, so Nitto has two sizes available of the Terra Grappler for our stock 18" wheels:
255/55/18's
285/60/18's
Question for the group at large, is there a big difference between these two and did anyone get the 255's put on?
It seems the 285's you'd have to cut a small bit of front cladding, but maybe not for the 255's(?) but is it a lot smaller tire in looks?
