Another simple way to check if your speakers are wired correctly is to run a small amount of current to the wires - I usually use a AA battery. If you run positive charge to the positive terminal of the speaker (and a negative charge to the negative terminal) the speaker will push outward. If the wires are reversed, the speaker will suck in. This is helpful when you replace those dinky stock wires with some fat 12 gauge like I did.
