I just got back Did a little Christmas shopping. Well that snow just followed me back. It was pretty much all rain once I got off the "Area 51" mountain site
I spent a little time in some stores in Poughkeepsie and when I came out it was like a blizzard. The roads were slick, I saw a few cars off and a major traffic jam on the base of a hill. So decided to take as few side roads (have to love the GPS). .
While on the final leg of my return I got stuck behing a plow truck.
That kind of sucked since I couldn't get by him (over the middle of the road and Salting). There was no sense in getting plastered and chipped.
Hope everyone else made it home safely.
I'll bet George had some scarey moments .... let us know.

Sorry I missed this meet but seeing as how my boy has been home for alittle over a week I just had to spend all of my time watching him grow. I sit here and read about the North east VX'ers having a meet and laugh just thinking that most of the meets are in the winter. Since being home he seems to fall asleep after watching the VX dvd. I play for him often. Hopefully we can get a meet in the summer of 2005. So how many VX'es made this meet? Does the west coast still have the most VX'es a 1 meet?

    Thumbs up "AREA 51" Meet

    WOWZERS...AWSOME...
That was absolutly fantastic guys(and girls). It was great getting together and meeting everyone from the board. Get that VX soon Danny...see what you are missing.
NINE(9) VX's showed up for the Monticello Meet despite some nasty snow and blowing winds.
George you could not have picked a better starting point...The "Area 51" sign was priceless
We had Three "Dragons", Three "Astrals", One "Foxfire", Two "IronMan" and an "Element"(?).
Let me tell you it was a nasty trip back to Vermont. It was a good thing I left when I did, not that I wanted to leave that early, but it took me 4 1/2 hours to drive back with snow and ice all the way.
It was too bad I did not have more time to talk with Bob(Newsman) since he came a little later on.
Hey Skidplate and/or LiquidVX...post a photo of "Rogues Gallery" your girlfriends took inside.
Again guys it was a good time, we'll have to do it again soon.
Thanks David for getting the ball started.

    Thumbs up MPG...

Despite the weather my Ironman came through with flying colors. Kinda glad I was driving the VX instead of my Rodeo on Sunday(only two wheel drive Florida car).
430 miles round trip on ONE tankfull of gas. Yes you heard it here first...I got a whopping 21.5 miles per gallon(almost unheard of in a VX.
THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE FOR A GREAT MEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully with all the photos being posted the next meet will be even bigger and better, getting all the other VXers out of hiding after seeing what they missed.

Hey Lori...The mileage question- "Clean Living" (only kidding:just a lot of carefull attention to detail and maintanance)

Still need a photo posting from LiquidVX and/or SkidPlate from inside the "mess hall".

Thanks Adam for bringing all the toys. Your VX is a prime candidate for "Area 51"...wow, what a spaceship!
