Sounds like a lot of guys getting rid of original seats if you are would buy especially leather recaro's as Japanese R/H drive models never had Leather these rigs need to be preserved this would be a great upgrade.

how did ur run the belts? i want to play around on tarmac but im too cheap to buy new seatsOriginally posted by Tone
Might want to verify that the seats you intend to use are DOT approved as well as the belts if you make a change in them as well. Many places will still not inspect a vehicle that has had this kind of change.
I had good success in staying in place while Rallying using a 4 point harness and the stock seats. Huge difference over running with the stock belts.

I said, its as close as you're going to get to a sports car in an SUV. Never said it actually was a sports car. That being said, I've spent plenty of time in some pretty Italian exotics, so I think I could tell a sports car if I sat in one.Who says I'm not going to buy a sports car? Fact of the matter is the VX - albeit great for an SUV - is still an SUV, and by definition is big and fat. If you think the VX is close to a sports car, you should take a spin in a Lotus Elise and you'll know what I mean. Granted, I don't want the VX to BE a Lotus, but I want to tailor MY VX to MY liking.
What color are your stock seats?
2000 Black VX 105k
This thing IS a sports car, for an Isuzu anyway. What"car"did they ever build ? The Stylus? Some sports car. Have a hard time calling it a truck. Sure body on ladder frame(like older CARS) Not a whole heck of alot of utility here either.....no soccer teams, plywood, or landscape plants here hmmmmm. Not a car, not a truck, van, or suv. A sv? we're back to the sport car thing. I know... lets call it a crossover vehicle love ya, wayne
I call it a Sport Truck. 4wd, low gear ratios, ladder chassis - yeah, it's a truck. TOD, great handling, and some good quickness sure make it sporty. It sure isn't a utility truck. No bed, no cargo space, no towing. So it's a sport truck. Truck chassis designed specifically for sport (racing) usage.
