I agree! The SC intake air temp ( Beyond the Air Temp sensor which is just upstream from the MAF sensor) appears to be extremely hot thus affecting compressibility etc.Originally posted by VXtreme
It seems to occur when it is hot and I let it sit for awhile. That is why I think it has something to do with heat soak throughout the S/C and engine components. I have checked for any vacuum leaks, none found, the belt is not slipping and can find no other cause for the condition. Any advise would help.
I have an INJEN Intake attached to my SC which I have wrapped with Plumbers insulating Pipe tape ( Home Depot) to reduce this effect. Just a couple of dollars investment may just prove out for you.
