    Stereo Wiring Conversion

This site is interesting - specializes in converting OEM radios to external perhipherals:

    http://www.peripheralelectronics.com

The TICLRX is compatible with 98-01 Toyota/Isuzu CD changer to Clarion - there's actually a few on eBay right now and it may be worth taking a chance if you can buy it cheap:

This may satisfy those of you who want to keep the existing head unit but change out the changer into something better. Note that I haven't tested this - perhaps someone out there with better knowledge could add some info.

In my 2000 Trooper, I have this adapter for Aux line in (for Ipod or any MP3 player, XM/ Sirius, DVD, etc). It provides three inputs PLUS CD, so you can have CD, XM, MP3, and DVD.

Works great. Allows you to keep your factory CD changer. Requires a disc in the CD changer to operate. Sound cuts out for just an instant while changing discs, so I usually leave just one in there. Requires switching module to be mounted somewhere on the dash.

This one works great too; I tested it myself before settling on the X3. Requires giving up your CD Changer completely, and only has one line in. Accessed by pressing "Disc" on the Radio.

I suspect PIE's entire line of adapters will work well.

    I bought my parts from

    http://store.myradiostore.com/prinel.html

They treated me well and had great pricing.

Oh, one more kick butt application (that I have not personally tried but should work great on Isuzu's):

    http://densionusa.com/merchant/merch...Code=IA_Toyota

This replaces the CD changer with an IPod connector that provides power and line in connection to the stereo. Tracks are changed on the Ipod using |<< and >>| buttons on stereo. Ipod pauses if stereo is switched to another input, like the radio. (Ipod then goes to sleep and saves battery.

If ordering for Isuzu, be sure to order for the older 1998-2002 Toyota. In 2003, Toyota went to a smaller connector on the back of the radio.

    Very cool.

    Nate
