    Monroe Reflex Shocks

Does anybody know anything about the "Impact Sensor" on Monroe Reflex Shocks ? They claim that they reduce body roll by 12% and brake pitch by 18%:
"The Impact Sensor™ valve has the ability to sense acceleration to improve the handling, safety, and overall ride characteristics of sport-utility vehicles, mini-vans and light trucks. The Impact Sensor™ base valve will sense a bump in the road and automatically adjust the shock to absorb the impact, leaving the shock with greater control when it is needed."
Anybody know if they really work? They are supposed to adjust automatically to road conditions (on/off road, etc.) so no need for manual adjustments like Ranchos.

Try the following... a bit more info, though you can't really get a good, definite answer.

I'm assuming they aren't REALLY close to the stiffness of the OEM VX shock, but they don't sound too bad. I may be wrong, but I just don't know. If you are interested in this type of valving, you may also want to check out:

Here's an interesting read (from a couple years ago, and pertaining to Dodge Ram trucks... but they are trucks!):

Thanks for the info. But now I am more confused than ever. Which of these, if any, do you think are best?
