Read your story and I have to say that owning my VX has been great too! I remember when it first came out and how awe-struck I was with the lines and the aggressive stance. Even today, the design still endures. Like you, I too didn't have the budget for a new VX. Actually, I didn't agree with the bastard dealers who were placing a $5k markup. Greedy bastards! Anyways, got my '99 a few years ago and have never looked back! One of the greatest and funnest things is surprising a lot of people off the line. Although, it's not appealing as it was when I was a few years younger. However, I still get the satisfaction when it comes to jerk-drivers. The one question I have is how do you tell the production number of your VX? The last thing I want to add unfortunately, is the pain I get when I have to fill up the ol' tank. Damn the gas prices are painful.
