They require a long, full-height panel behind them with a regular cross-sectional shape so they can slide back. You don't see them on doors because they would eliminate functionality - essentially, you'd have to turn a sedan into a 2-door, making the back doors static so you can fit slide rails over them.Originally posted by WyrreJ
Anyone know why no car (at least that I have heard of) has had "van doors" as the primary door type? Are they just less reliable or just nobody thought of it?
